Shuttle buses and tour train

The ship docks at a very much in-use port in Noumea.

Consequently, you aren't actually allowed to walk into Noumea, lest you get squashed by a heavy shipping container.

Instead, there were regular shuttle buses that took you on the five minute trip into the town.

You could also organize a road-train tour (the yellow train in the picture) of Noumea, which took you on a two hour trip from the ship around highlights of Noumea.

The train would then drop you either back in the centre of town or back at the ship.

The buses were regular, so you could come back to the ship for lunch then return to town.
